Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has accused the Tirupati temple of mixing animal fat instead of ghee in the offerings. Following this, the samples were sent for testing. Now after an investigation, the report is out confirming that fish oil was found. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister accused former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of mixing animal fat instead of ghee in the Prasad of Tirupati temple during Jagan Raj.

In a programme, Naidu had said that instead of ghee, animal fat and inferior items were used in prasad. He said we ensure prasad keeping in mind the real ghee, cleanliness and good quality.

Jagan Mohan Reddy strikes back
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party, the YSRCP, also responded to CM Naidu’s remarks. It is alleged that Chandrababu Naidu has committed a great sin by destroying the sanctity of the Tirumala temple and the faith of crores of Hindus. Chandrababu Naidu’s comments on Tirumala Prasad are very bad. A human being would not say such things or make such allegations. Once again, it is proved that Chandrababu will not hesitate to do anything wrong for the sake of political gain.

Reddy said, “To strengthen the faith of the devotees, I and my family are ready to take oath for Tirumala Prasad. Is Chandra Babu also ready to take oath with his family?”

Allegations of using inferior material to make laddus
Let us tell you that Tirupati Laddus are worshipped at the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, which is run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). CM Naidu, while addressing the NDA legislature meeting, claimed that Tirumala Laddu was also made from substandard ingredients, using animal fat instead of ghee. The CM stressed that pure ghee is now used and everything in the temple has been sterilised, which has improved the quality.
