8 people died and more than two dozen people were injured when a three-storey building collapsed in Transport Nagar, Lucknow. The police have registered an FIR in this case. According to the allegations made in the FIR, substandard material was used to build this building, due to which the building collapsed after becoming dilapidated. Quality was compromised to earn money.

Initial investigations revealed that building People working around the building had come to know that it had become dilapidated and a major accident could happen any time. Therefore, the building owner was informed about it and an appeal was made to get the repair work done. But the building owner did not get the repair done and as a result eight people lost their lives and property worth crores was destroyed.

Many people had rented shops in this building. After the accident, their goods kept in the shops were also destroyed. The victims say that despite repeated requests, the building owner did not get the repairs done, due to which such a big accident happened.

According to the information received, the owner of the building is Kumkum Singhal but the case has been registered against her husband. The couple lives in Ashiana, Lucknow. The map of the building was passed in the name of Kumkum Singhal. However, on the basis of initial investigation, the FIR has been registered against her husband Rakesh Singhal, who used to look after the entire work of the building. The police has now started further action.

On the other hand, the Yogi government has formed a three-member committee to investigate the building accident case. It will be headed by Home Department Secretary Dr. Sanjeev Gupta. The team has been instructed to complete the investigation as soon as possible and submit the report to the state government.

Let us tell you that a three-storey building located on the Shaheed Path collapsed during rain on Saturday evening in Transport Nagar. Eight people, including a businessman, died in the accident, while 28 people buried under the debris were rescued and admitted to different hospitals in Lucknow. Among these, the condition of 3 people is critical, who are being treated in the Trauma Center. Teams of NDRF, SDRF, fire brigade and police were engaged in relief and rescue work.
