The idea of communism and the United States going together is almost unimaginable. These two moving together and existing together can be a contradiction in itself. Communism, which is now considered an archaic movement or ideology, has once again raised its head in this capitalist country (America). The newly formed Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA) held its first congress in Philadelphia on Sunday.
Actually, Revolutionary Communist is a global movement, which is active in many countries. Now it has started in America also. After the meeting, about 500 RCA members marched through the streets of Philadelphia carrying red flags bearing the hammer and sickle symbol. As the march progressed, the slogan of ‘Class War 2024’ echoed. RCA’s March video prompted a short but strong response from Elon Musk.

RCA calls billionaires parasites
RCA shared the video of the march on its handle, the caption of which read, ‘Billionaires are Parasites’. Elon Musk expressed surprise at the video caption of the RCA march and posted an exclamation mark (exclamation mark!) in the comment section. Let us tell you that the owner of the social media platform ‘X’ is Elon Musk, who is counted among the richest industrialists in the world. Perhaps this is how Elon Musk would have reacted when he called billionaires ‘parasites’ on a platform owned by a billionaire.
Elon Musk takes a dig at RCA’s past
By responding with an exclamation mark on the post of Revolutionary Communist of America, Elon Musk probably wanted to say that he had no words to comment. Perhaps he was also taking a dig at the Communist Party. In another post on X, RCA wrote, ‘Join the party that will overthrow capitalism in your lifetime.’ When a user alleged that members of the Revolutionary Communists of America would vote for Democrats, the RCA handle responded, ‘No. Both Democrats and Republicans are parties of billionaires. That is why we have established a new party today.

Communism and America, no matter how different they may be from each other, does not mean that no impact of Karl Marx’s philosophy has been seen on this capitalist nation. In the early 20th century, the Communist Party USA emerged in America, which played an important role in labor movements and civil rights activism. The Revolutionary Communist of America was established in February this year. Comrades from all over America had gathered for the founding ceremony of the party.
