November 14, 2024: Due to overwhelming fan demand, Coldplay has announced a fourth concert in India as part of its campaign celestial music World tour. Following three quickly sold-out concerts in Mumbai, the band will perform at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25, 2025. This additional show offers fans another chance to experience Coldplay’s high-energy live show following unprecedented interest in the Mumbai event.
Coldplay announced the Ahmedabad show date on Instagram and shared details for eager fans on how to get tickets. Their post read: “Ahmedabad 2025 dates announced. The band will be hosting their show on January 25, 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad The biggest show ever. Tickets will be available on November 16th at 12 noon (Indian Standard Time).”
Tickets for the Ahmedabad concert will be available on BookMyShow on November 16 at 12 noon IST. Tickets for Coldplay’s Mumbai shows on January 18, 19 and 20 were snapped up in just minutes, with demand further surging and fans looking for resale options. This prompted Coldplay to decide to expand their India tour to Ahmedabad.
Ticket prices for the Mumbai show range from Rs 2,500 to Rs 35,000 and fans can expect a similar price structure for the Ahmedabad concert. However, ticket prices in the resale market have soared to Rs 3.65 lakh, much to the dismay of true fans. In response, the cyber wing of the Maharashtra police urged BookMyShow to implement stricter protocols, including name-based ticketing measures, to prevent ticket scalping.
