CNBC reported on Wednesday that a unit CNN of Warner Bros Discovery plans to lay off hundreds of employees on Thursday because it has re -adjusted companies around the global digital audience.

CNBC said that when CNN hopes to re -arrange its linear TV lineup and establish a digital subscription product, the work has been cut and added that this will help CNN reduce production costs and consolidate the team.

The report added that some programs produced in New York or Washington may move to Atlanta, where it can be cheaper.

The report states that the NBC news owned by Comcast also plans to lay off the layoffs later this week. Although there are no exact numbers, the layoffs will be under the age of 50.

Comcast and Warner Bros Discovery did not immediately respond to Reuters’ comments on the report.

The Washington Post, owned by Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, said earlier this month that it will reduce its labor force by 4 % or less than 100 employees to reduce costs, because this long newspaper and loss are getting bigger and bigger Essence

The Associated Press said in November that it would reduce its labor 8 % because it hopes to modernize it and product. (Report by Juby Anna Babu in Mexico City; Edit of Shailesh Kuber)
