On the occasion of the second Monday of Sawan, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has given a special message to the Kanwariyas undertaking the Kanwar Yatra. CM has told the Kanwariyas that to become Shiva, one needs to practice like Shiva, no festival is complete without self-discipline.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘The holy month of Mahadev, Sawan, has started. Kanwar Yatra of the month of Sawan is famous all over the world. At this time, people all over the country and especially in North India get immersed in the rituals of Mahadev and demonstrate their immense devotion by performing Jalabhishek in all the Shiva temples.
Self-discipline like Mahadev is also needed: CM Yogi
CM said, for their safe and secure journey, proper arrangements have been made in the state by the state and central government so that there is no chaos and no one faces any problem. No one should be able to play with their faith. Keeping all these things in mind, efforts have been started.
He said, ‘I have a humble request to all the devotees that we are all Shiva devotees, Mahadev’s special blessings have been upon us and we constantly pray that his blessings remain forever. No spiritual practice is complete without self-discipline. To have a smooth and safe journey, we will have to be absorbed in the entire process not only internally but also externally. To become Shiva, one needs spiritual practice like Shiva, that kind of self-discipline is also needed and then this Kanwar Yatra will emerge not only in the form of reverence and symbol but also as a symbol of widespread faith of the common people as we are seeing at this time.
Arrangements for showering flowers by helicopter also: CM
The Chief Minister further said, we are seeing that not only the government but also people of various societies are readily engaged in serving them (Kanwar pilgrims) with full faith. The government is also making many efforts at its level, not only through excellent patrolling but also by organizing camps through cleanliness and health system. He said, arrangements have also been made to shower flowers using drones and helicopters for monitoring as per requirement.
CM said, I would appeal to all the Shiva devotees that Mahadev’s blessings remain upon us, we not only enjoy this journey by joining the system but also show self-discipline with full devotion and faith in this holy month. Contribute to taking forward the Kanwar Yatra.
