A disabled student was given a smartphone at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s programme in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. But when the student took out the smartphone, it was allegedly snatched away. In this matter, the Ghantaghar Kotwali police has registered an FIR against an unidentified person based on the student’s complaint.

Police register case against unidentified persons

Giving information in this regard to a news agency, a police officer said that Manoj, who did his LLB from MMH College, was given a smartphone on Wednesday under the chief minister’s scheme. However, some unknown persons snatched it away after the job fair held at Ramlila Maidan in Ghantaghar. Manoj was given a mobile phone after his name appeared in the list of beneficiaries.

The police have intervened to investigate the case

In this case, Manoj told me that I raised the alarm when the phone was snatched, but no sound was heard over the loudspeaker. Manoj is a resident of Afzalpur Pavati village in the district. When contacted about the matter, Additional Commissioner of Police Ritesh Tripathi said that the police were investigating the matter. However, there is no clarity on the person who snatched the smartphone.

Let us tell you that Adityanath distributed 6,000 smartphones and tablets to the youth under the job fair programme on Wednesday. On this occasion, job letters were also issued to 1,000 registered unemployed youths.
