The craze for samosas in India has reached varying degrees. From hotels to the roadside, you will see people eating curry samosas. But did you ever think that samosas could keep an entire police department up at night? Something similar happened in Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh. Today, samosas are prevalent in the politics of Himachal Pradesh. Show cause notices have been issued to five police officers over the samosas. Not only that, severe disciplinary action was also recommended against him. The state Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating.
What’s going on?
In fact, on October 21, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu went to the CID headquarters to inaugurate the Cyber Wing station. Here, boxes and samosas brought for the chief minister were distributed among his staff. CID investigated this. Investigation revealed that only IB knew that these boxes were specially prepared for CM Sukhu.
Errors occur due to lack of coordination
Investigation found that when the coaches were handed over to the woman inspector, she did not confirm with any senior personnel but sent them to the Mechanical Transport (MT) department, which is responsible for breakfast. Due to this error, the boxes were misplaced before reaching the correct person. The report said a lack of coordination was a big reason for the error.
10/12 people with tea
The investigative report states that the contents of the three boxes were served along with tea to 10/12 people sitting in the Inspector General’s office. Only the Intelligence Bureau knew that the food contained in the three boxes brought from the hotel was for the chief minister. Despite this, the above three boxes were handed over to the MT Section by the inspector without questioning any superior officials. The boxes were opened and the contents distributed.
