Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail on bail on Friday in the liquor policy scam case. The Supreme Court granted him bail in the CBI case as well, about 6 months after his arrest. Kejriwal is the first leader of India who went to jail while holding the post of Chief Minister and has also come out of jail on bail while holding the post of Chief Minister. Kejriwal used to say earlier that every drop of his blood is for the people of Delhi, but on Friday, after coming out of jail, he said that every drop of his blood is for the people of India. Kejriwal was seen attacking BJP as soon as he came out of jail.

The way Kejriwal came out, it seems that he has come out of jail as a national leader and he has also said that I was truthful, I was right, that’s why God supported me. And after coming out of jail, his strength has increased 100 times. That is, he says that by staying in jail for 177 days, his strength increased 100 times. When Kejriwal reached his home, his 80-year-old mother welcomed him by applying tilak. Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal also celebrated Kejriwal’s release by feeding laddus to the party leaders and said that the Supreme Court has failed the BJP’s plan.

Now the question is what will happen next? Haryana elections are coming up. Haryana, where Kejriwal and Congress have not been able to reach an agreement on seats. If Kejriwal goes there to campaign, will it be a loss for Congress and a gain for BJP? Kejriwal has already brought his party to power by defeating Congress in Delhi and Punjab. Then Haryana is between these two states. There are still 22 days left for voting in Haryana and all the leaders accused in the liquor scam have come out of jail on bail.

Has AAP’s strength increased in Haryana elections?

Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, Manish Sisodia. All three of the party’s biggest leaders are currently out on bail. Then can the Aam Aadmi Party achieve any success in Haryana? In fact, if we look at the vote arithmetic of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Haryana from 2014 to 2024, then it neither won the MP seat nor the MLA seat. The vote share did not reach even four and a half percent. In the last assembly elections, all the party candidates lost their deposits. Even after contesting with the Congress in this Lok Sabha election, Kejriwal’s candidate could not win in Haryana.

Arvind Kejriwal is raising the issue of misuse of investigative agencies and division in the name of caste and religion. BJP is directly on his target. Now if Kejriwal targets BJP and divides the votes for his party, then it is certain that the anti-BJP votes will be divided. In such a situation, it is possible that only BJP will benefit from this.

Kejriwal got bail on these conditions

The court has granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal with certain conditions. For example, despite being the Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal cannot go to the Chief Minister’s office, cannot sign any file, cannot make any statement regarding the investigation in this case and cannot try to obstruct the investigation and influence the witnesses. These are the conditions on the basis of which Arvind Kejriwal has got regular bail in this case.

Apart from this, all the big opposition leaders who were arrested by ED and CBI before the Lok Sabha elections have now got bail. These include Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Uddhav Thackeray’s party leader Sanjay Raut, Sharad Pawar’s party leader Anil Deshmukh and Telangana’s former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter K. Kavitha.

Other leaders of the opposition party also came out of jail

The interesting thing is that the parties of those opposition leaders who were arrested by ED and CBI before the Lok Sabha elections performed well in the Lok Sabha elections, but those opposition leaders who joined BJP while facing ED and CBI investigation in different cases, performed very poorly in the elections. For example, despite the arrest of three big leaders of Aam Aadmi Party in the liquor scam, it got more votes in Delhi and Punjab than last time. In Punjab, the vote share of Aam Aadmi Party was 18.52 percent more than last time, while in Delhi, where Aam Aadmi Party contested the elections in alliance with Congress, it got about 6 percent more votes than last time.

Similarly, despite the arrest of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his party got about 3 percent more votes in this Lok Sabha election than last time and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won three out of five seats, whereas last time it had won only one seat. Despite the arrest of Sanjay Raut and Anil Deshmukh, their parties performed brilliantly in the Lok Sabha elections. And even after losing their original party, Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar won more seats than Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar in Maharashtra. That is, the figures show that the opposition leaders who went to jail performed well in the Lok Sabha elections.

Opposition leaders who joined BJP faced defeat

On the other hand, the opposition leaders who joined BJP performed poorly. For example, Ajit Pawar’s NCP won only one Lok Sabha seat out of four and he could not even make his wife Sunetra Pawar win the elections. Along with Ajit Pawar, leaders like Chhagan Bhujbal and Praful Patel also joined BJP but NDA did not get any benefit from it in the elections. Former Congress party leader Jyoti Mirdha, Captain Amarinder Singh’s son Ranendra Singh and Hemant Soren’s sister-in-law Sita Soren also joined BJP before the elections, but the public defeated these leaders in the elections too. And former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan also joined BJP before the elections and BJP made him a Rajya Sabha MP thinking that he would help it win the Lok Sabha elections in Nanded region of Maharashtra but here too BJP lost the elections.
