Cloud burst on Chardham road in Tehri, Uttarakhand, two dead, one injured

In Tehri district of Uttarakhand, cloud burst occurred in Jakhaniyali and Nautad of Ghansali, which fall on the main route of Chardham Yatra. Two people died due to this natural disaster, while one person was seriously injured. There is news of several acres of agricultural land of farmers of Jakhaniyali village being destroyed due to cloud burst. At the same time, three people from Jakhaniyali village are said to be missing.

There is news of cloud burst in Kedarnath pedestrian route Bhim Bali also. Due to this huge amount of debris flowing away, about 30 meters of the footpath has been damaged. Therefore, movement on the pedestrian route has been stopped here. The administration has stopped about 150-200 pilgrims at a safe place in Bhim Bali.

The water level of Mandakini river has also increased significantly. In such a situation, passengers have been advised to stay at safe places. Administration rescue teams are deployed at all places.

Under the red alert issued by the Meteorological Department and the instructions given by the Garhwal Divisional Commissioner, the District Magistrate of the concerned district will take the decision regarding the journey of the Chardham pilgrims who have reached the concerned district on August 1. The registration process in the registration centers located in Haridwar and Rishikesh will be postponed on 1st August.
