Srinagar, September 20: On Friday evening, militants and security forces clashed in Shikari area of Reasi district.
GNS quoted a senior police officer as saying that a team of police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Reasi based on a very specific instruction.
The official added that when the joint team approached the suspicious area, the hiding militants opened fire on the joint team, leading to a clash between the two sides.
Meanwhile, district police officer Reasi wrote in a post on X: “An operation was launched around 13:00 today after receiving specific intelligence. Contact has been established in Shikari area of PS Chassana.”
