China launched its first batch of Internet satellites on August 6, 2024, using a Long March 6A rocket. 18 satellites were launched. The aim was to compete with Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites. But this launch created an uproar all over the world. Garbage fell on the ground. Spread into space. 300 pieces are spread in space.

All these pieces are spread in the lower Earth orbit. Due to which the satellites and space stations of countries around the world are in danger. But American Space Command is keeping an eye on it. China launched 18 flat panel Qianfan (Thousand Cells) or G60 into space from Long March 6A.

They were to be placed in polar orbit at an altitude of 800 kilometers for Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology. Earlier these were to be placed in 14 thousand LEO communication satellites. But now with this mission, China has created a threat to satellites around the world. Because of this, more than 300 pieces of garbage have been spread in space.

Garbage is moving at the speed of 7.5 km/sec

All these satellites and rocket bodies are floating together in space in the same direction. Of these, 50 pieces are in very dangerous orbit. Where they can threaten the satellites and space stations of other countries at any time. This garbage is flying at a speed of 7.5 kilometers per second.

The reason is the breakage of the upper part of the rocket

The US Space Force has said that this garbage was generated because the upper part of China’s Long March 6A rocket broke in space. Due to which so much waste has been generated. However, it has been said that this does not pose any problem to human flight.

An accident also happened in November last year

Even before this, in November 2022, the upper part of the Long March 6A rocket had broken. Due to which hundreds of pieces were spread in space. China’s plan was to launch 90 more satellites by the end of this year after this launch. In the first phase, there would have been 36 satellites in polar orbit, each launch. China plans to release 14 thousand internet satellites.
