Beijing: China on Friday announced visa-free entry for citizens of nine other countries to boost tourism and business travel and boost its lagging economy. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that starting from November 30, citizens of Bulgaria, Romania, Malta, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Estonia, Latvia, Japan and other countries can stay in China for 30 days without a visa.
The number of countries will become 38
After China announced this new news, the number of visa-free countries since last year will increase to 38. Earlier, only three countries were allowed visa-free entry, but the scheme was terminated amid the Covid-19 global pandemic.
