Actually, the police had received a complaint that some people had called Ravi Kumar, resident of Siwaipatti near SKMCH Chowk of Ahiyapur police station area. Told Ravi that he had to transact money from some bank accounts. When Ravi reached there, three people present there took him into the car. During this time, Ravi was taken around for 8 hours, after which he was left in Bibganj of Sadar police station area. After this the fake officer said that he is an officer of the economic unit.

All three also had fake cards. The thugs told Ravi that he was a cyber criminal and they had come to arrest him. The thugs created an atmosphere of arrest and also filed false paperwork. After this matter came to light, the complaint reached the police. The police registered an FIR and started investigation and arrested the three accused. Police have also recovered the chain.

The victim Ravi was suspected to be a fake officer when he was asked to deposit money on the betting app. The victim himself is associated with a cyber crime gang. Runs a group on Telegram. Sells bank accounts.

The arrested accused have been identified as Vinayak Kumar of Gaighat, Abhinav Raj of Gaighat, Shubham Kashyap, resident of Matihani, Aurai and Adarsh ​​Kumar, resident of Akharaghat Nazirpur, Ahiyapur. Police said that all of them used to target common people by posing as officers of the Economic Offenders Unit. He especially kept an eye on those who were involved in cyber mischief and made them his victims. Action is going on against the accused.
