People traveling on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway should be careful. Now, over speeding on the expressway can prove costly. In such a situation, drive the car carefully. Because if the vehicle over-speeds even a little, a challan of Rs 5,000 will have to be paid. E-challan system has been started on the expressway. In such a situation, if the vehicle is over-speeding, the speed of the vehicle will be noted with the help of cameras installed on the expressway and the challan will directly reach the driver’s home.

Accidents are continuously happening due to over speed on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and people are losing their lives. Most of the expressway passes through Rajasthan. The expressway passes through Alwar, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur and Kota of Rajasthan. Maximum road accidents are happening in Alwar and Dausa areas. To prevent these accidents, e-challan system has been started on the expressway. E-challans are being issued on the expressway from August 1. So far, more than 200 over speed challans have been issued by Alwar Police.

Expressway divided into three pockets

Alwar Superintendent of Police Anand Sharma said that the expressway has been divided into three pockets. The control room of the first pocket camera is in Sohna area. The control room of second Dausa and third pocket is in Jaipur. With the help of cameras installed on the expressway, NHAI control room gets information about over speed of vehicles and they send the input directly to Jaipur control room. After that, information about the vehicle is given to the traffic police department of the concerned area and on the basis of that, e-challan is deducted. SP said that there is a challan of at least Rs 5000. In such a situation, driving at over speed can be heavy on the pocket.

Accidents happen every day due to over speed

Former Barmer MP Manvendra Singh and his family met with an accident in Alwar area on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Due to over speed, the vehicle collided with the divider. Manvendra Singh’s wife had died in this. So apart from this, a family from Madhya Pradesh was returning to their home in Sawai Madhopur area. During this time, the car met with an accident on the expressway and the entire family was killed in it. 6 people had died in this accident. Apart from this, the MD of a big construction company and his manager in Alwar area also died. Also, an expensive car of a big businessman had an accident in Haryana region. All accidents are happening due to over speed.

Most accidents happen in Alwar region

Maximum road accidents occur in Alwar pocket on Delhi Mumbai Expressway. A study was done on the expressway by IIT and many improvements were made. Constant monitoring is done on the expressway.

Challans are made through interceptor
SP said that in Alwar area, an interceptor is always deployed on the expressway and challans are issued to vehicles on the expressway. But the speed of vehicles remains high on the expressway. Therefore it is not possible to stop them.
