Chad Bowes breaks the fastest double century in Group A: New Zealand opener Chad Bowes set a new record in A-grade cricket on Wednesday by scoring his double hundred in just 103 balls. Bose holds the record for the fastest double century in this format, a record previously held by India’s Narayan Jagadeesan and Australia’s Travis Head .

South African-born New Zealand batsman Bowes achieved the feat while representing Canterbury in a Ford Cup match against Otago. He was eventually dismissed after scoring 205 runs off 110 balls, his highest score in A-grade cricket. Jagadeesan and Head completed their double centuries in 114 balls.

Hyde achieved the feat while playing for South Australia in the 2021-22 Marsh Cup, while Tamil Nadu’s Jagadeesan achieved the feat in the 2022 Vijay Hazare Trophy (Vijay Hazare Trophy) achieved this feat with a record-breaking innings of 277 runs against Arunachal Pradesh.

32-year-old Chad Bowes has played 6 ODI matches and 11 T20 internationals for New Zealand so far. He made his international debut last year. List-A cricket matches include various domestic matches except one-day internationals. Under List-A, each round lasts 40 to 60 overs.
