Car stopped on pretext of accident and then robbed…loot worth lakhs of rupees looted from Gala traders in Kanpur

UP News: Late at night, a sensational incident took place in South Kanpur, a few steps away from the police station. Two robbers on a bike robbed a grain trader and fled the scene. Later, when the police learned about the incident, senior officials rushed to the scene with the police. The forces of three police stations have started investigating the incident.

According to the information, Anshul Gupta, a resident of Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur, was a big businessman in Galle, Collectorganj. As usual, Anshul Gupta went home. Meanwhile, a few steps away from Babupurwa police station, robbers on bicycles stopped the businessman from behind. The robbers stopped the car on the pretext of an accident. Before the businessman could understand anything, the robbers pushed him away and fled with the bag full of money.

The victim businessman said that the bag contained Rs 3 lakh in cash, some documents and some shop bills etc. Businessman Anshul Gupta was frightened by the incident and dialed 112 and informed the control room.

After receiving the information, DCP South Ankita Sharma, ACP Babupurwa Anjali Vishwakarma and three other police personnel rushed to the spot for investigation.

A police picket is set up a few steps behind the spot where the robbery took place. Further ahead, the Babupurwa police station is just a few steps away. Currently, based on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and started investigating the matter.
