Former Ayodhya MP and BJP leader Lallu Singh left the party’s press conference midway on Thursday. He suddenly left the press conference midway and said that mafia is present on the stage and I cannot share the stage with them.

Lallu Singh alleged that mafia was present on the stage, due to which he had to get up and leave the premises. Although he did not name any leader clearly, he pointed towards BJP leader Shivendra Singh sitting on the stage.

According to news agency PTI, BJP state general secretary Sanjay Rai had called a press conference at the Circuit House in Ayodhya regarding the membership drive. Speaking to the media, the former MP said, “Mafia was present on the stage and I can never associate myself with such elements. I have constantly fought against the mafia because they exploit and oppress the society.”

A case has been registered against Shivendra Singh under the Gangster Act

Shivendra Singh was booked under attempt to murder and Gangster Act and lodged in Faizabad jail in 2018. He was later transferred to Barabanki jail. Speaking to PTI, Shivendra Singh said, “Former MP Lallu Singh personally campaigned with notorious criminals and dreaded history-sheeters throughout his election, which ultimately led to his defeat in the election.”

Ayodhya BJP spokesperson Rajneesh Singh said that Lallu Singh has always followed political decorum throughout his political career. He said, “He has consistently kept himself away from criminals in his political endeavors, never formed an alliance with them.”

Lallu Singh became MLA five times and MP twice from Ayodhya
