What are the promises made to Baramati?
He said Baramati has a rich wrestling tradition. Ajit Pawar announced that Maharashtra’s first world-class sports academy will be set up in Baramati. The academy will conduct training in boxing, wrestling, javelin throwing, shooting, swimming and other sports. Ajit Pawar also said that modern facilities, statutory coaching and training will be provided to Maharashtra players.
He said a network of 5,000 agri-food processing units will be set up for the farmers of Baramati. Meanwhile, a logistics park is about to be set up in Baramati, which will provide employment opportunities to local people and nearby residents.
He said that the World Sports Academy will be opened in Baramati. The establishment of the academy will be inspired by the states of Punjab and Haryana. Boxing and javelin throwing will be taught. He said Baramati is ready to become the first solar powered city. A cancer hospital will be constructed in Baramati for the treatment of cancer. With this, there is no need to travel to Pune and Mumbai for cancer treatment.
