Can the BJP elect a new president in January? A major meeting will be held in Delhi on November 22

The Bharatiya Janata Party has accelerated the process of electing a new president.

The process of electing the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party will be accelerated once the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand are over. To this end, the BJP held an important meeting on November 22. According to sources, around 125 senior leaders associated with the organization will hold a seminar on the organization’s electoral procedures on November 22, including all state officials and all state presidents of the BJP. The meeting was convened by BJP president JP Nadda and could also be attended by Home Minister Amit Shah.

All state functionaries of the BJP will participate in the meeting, which will be held from 1 to 7 pm. In addition to state officials, state presidents of states and general secretaries of state agencies will also attend the meeting. Besides the in-charges and deputy in-charges of all states, state presidents of all morchas of the BJP were also called to the meeting.

State election officials and joint officials will also be present.

All state election officers and joint officers appointed by the state will have to attend the meeting, except state election officer K Laxman and three joint election officers appointed by the organization for the presidential election. At this meeting, active membership leaders from all over the country were also called together. All the BJP officials and visiting leaders present in the meeting were asked to provide detailed details of all the organization’s election-related activities that have been carried out since the beginning of the local active membership campaign till date.

National Electoral Appeals Commission established

Apart from this, the BJP has taken another important decision regarding the country’s presidential election. K Laxman, central election officer of the Bharatiya Janata Party organization, constituted the National Appeal Committee. Radha Mohan Singh was appointed as the convenor of the committee, while three senior leaders of the BJP, Vijaypal Singh Tomar, Sanjay Sanjay Bhatia and Gajendra Patel were appointed as co-conveners of the National Appeal Commission. The appellate committee works to prevent any irregularities in the BJP presidential election. Complaints about errors during the electoral process may also be lodged with the Commission.

In fact, according to Article 4 of the BJP constitution, the National Returning Officer is appointed for the party’s organizational elections (i.e. the presidential election). The national electoral officer formed his own presidential election team, and the president put the electoral officer in charge of each state. In the process, as per the BJP constitution, the state election officials constituted a National Appeals Commission to lodge complaints and rectify any irregularities in the presidential election process.

Shah gave a progress report at a meeting of cabinet ministers.

Last Tuesday, BJP president Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting of cabinet ministers to expedite the election of the BJP president. BJP Organization Minister Santosh was also present at the meeting. According to information received, in this meeting with federal ministers, Home Minister Amit Shah was briefed on the progress report on organizing elections in various states. Plans have since been drawn up to speed up the presidential election process.

Seminar on November 22

After discussions at the same meeting, it was decided to organize a seminar on November 22 to expedite the election process of the party chairman and maintain transparency in the electoral process through the establishment of a national appeals committee. It is believed that the election process of the new president of the BJP will be completed in the third week of January, that is, the party can elect a new national president any time after January 15.
