There is an interesting contest in this Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-election. Suchismita Maurya from the Bharatiya Janata Party and Jyoti Bind from the Samajwadi Party came face to face. Earlier, Suchismita Maurya defeated Jyoti Bind’s father Dr Ramesh Chand Bind, who had served as MP for three consecutive terms. This time, Dr. Ramesh Chand Binder’s daughter stepped onto the campaign stage to avenge her father’s failure. His opponent is Suchismita Maurya of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Dr. Ramesh Chand Bind first won the election in 2002 from the BSP’s Majhwan Assembly seat. Thereafter, he won the 2007 assembly elections with the BSP. In 2012, the BSP won its third consecutive assembly election.

The 2017 parliamentary elections are once again underway before the Majhwan Assembly. In this contest, the daughter took the lead in taking revenge on her father’s behalf. When Aaj Tak asked Suchismita Maurya about this, she said that we defeated the three-time MLA. To me, it doesn’t matter who is in front of me. Only the BJP will win. I will once again receive the blessing of the public.
Samavadi Party candidate Jyoti Binder said we are contesting the elections on the issue of development in the region. It remains to be seen if Jyoti Binder will be able to avenge her father by defeating Suchmita Peacock or if Suchmita Peacock will win again and maintain her record.
