There was a time when people had to queue in long queues at railway stations to buy train tickets, but today, train tickets can be purchased anywhere with just an app. Meanwhile, a new initiative has been launched to make train tickets more affordable. Now, with this initiative, you will get 10% discount on your Namo Bharat train tickets.
NaMo Bharat train passengers will get a 10 per cent discount on tickets purchased through the RRTS Connect app under the loyalty point program initiative launched by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
NCRTC Managing Director Shalabh Goyal launched the initiative on Saturday at the Sahibabad Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) station and launched the first issue of Namo Bharat Times, a bi-monthly magazine on passenger news.
How do I get a discount on tickets?
Under the loyalty points scheme, passengers can earn one point for every rupee spent on Namo Bharat train tickets. Each loyalty point is worth Rs 0.10 (10 paise) and will be credited to the passenger’s account, the statement said. These can be used to purchase tickets.
This initiative will not only benefit passengers financially but will also encourage the use of digital QR code tickets through the RRTS Connect app, thereby making travel easier through paperless ticketing, the statement said.
You can get money even after downloading the app
It is said that after downloading the app, each new user will receive Rs 50, which is equivalent to 500 loyalty points. If they require a new user to use the RRTS Connect app, he can get an additional 500 loyalty points. Loyalty points are valid for one year from the date they are earned to incentivize frequent travel and continued use of the app.
