‘Business groups are grabbing land of Manjhi caste farmers in Ayodhya’, SP targets BJP

The Samajwadi Party on Sunday claimed that a business group is “occupying” the land of the most backward Manjhi caste in Ayodhya. The SP claimed that goons of the group were engaging in hooliganism against farmers. However, the business group denied the allegations. Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav shared a video on social media in which some of the people were beaten up. The SP claimed that it was an attempt to grab land. However, local police said they were taking legal action in the matter and called the SP’s allegations “false”.

SP made these allegations

The Samajwadi Party media unit’s X account shared two videos. The video is of a fight. The video allegedly depicts a fight between a business group and farmers in Ayodhya. The SP wrote in the caption, “In Ayodhya, big businesses are occupying the land of poor farmers on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.”

Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav wrote, “Ayodhya farmers arrested, billionaires given relief… Is the Uttar Pradesh government still in power or has it retired?” Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party media further claimed, “The Abhinandan Lodha group is occupying the land of Manjhi community in Ayodhya and its goons are killing farmers. The police authorities have sold the land on the request of Chief Minister Adityanath and Lodha.” Killed in an immoral manner, supporting the group and throwing farmers in jail.

A Lodha Ventures spokesperson said: “A farmer sold a piece of land to them. When we went to occupy it, a mob attacked our people. We have filed an FIR and the police have made an arrest.”
