UP News: A horrific accident took place on Kisan Path in Sarojini Nagar police station area of Lucknow. A highway bus traveling from Rae Bareli to Delhi lost control and overturned. In this accident, the bus driver died on the spot and five people on the bus were injured. Screams were heard at the scene after the accident. Local people immediately called the police.
After receiving the news, the local police immediately rushed to the scene to carry out rescue work. Passengers on the bus were ushered out. The injured were taken to nearby Lok Bandhu Hospital and were said to be in stable condition. The deceased bus driver, identified as Bhushan Lal Maurya, died soon after the accident.

Regarding the incident, ADCP South Rajesh Kumar Yadav said that the bus was traveling from Amethi to New Delhi and there were about 20 passengers on board. Due to the speed, the bus lost control and overturned, and the driver died on the spot. Other passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries and were sent to Lok Bandhu Hospital for treatment.
The police said that the situation at the scene is now normal. There are no security issues. Police have taken over the bus and are investigating the matter. After the accident, passengers on the bus burst into tears. All passengers have been safely evacuated. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. Preliminary legal action is being taken.
