NC (National Conference) MLA Bashir Veeri was detained at Srinagar airport. It is understood that during the inspection, a number of cartridges were recovered from his luggage. NC MLA from Bijbehara Bashir Veeri is going to Jammu. At the same time, airport security personnel found some live ammunition in his luggage during inspection. He has since been detained.

Out of 90 seats, the National Congress won 42 seats and the Congress won 6 parliamentary seats. At the same time, the BJP managed to win 29 parliamentary seats. Mufti’s People’s Democratic Party performed poorly in the election. NC leader Omar Abdullah was sworn in as the first chief minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on October 16.

The first session of Jammu and Kashmir’s new Parliament will begin on November 4 to elect the Speaker. To this end, Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory Manoj Sinha issued a notification. On this day, the Lieutenant Governor will address the Assembly. A Raj Bhavan spokesperson said: “Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Sections 18 and 19 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, has Called from Srinagar.”
