In Bhilai, illegal shrines, shops, marriage halls built on corporation land worth crores of rupees were demolished using bulldozers on Monday. A video of this has also surfaced. In which it can be seen how a bulldozer was used on an illegal shrine and it was razed to the ground within just 5 to 7 seconds.
In this regard, the corporation officials said that all non-religious encroachment will be demolished. They were given notice earlier. But they did not remove it, so action is being taken. On the other hand, the Karbala Committee has opposed this action. The committee has said that the encroachment is right. The committee says that this encroachment has been done in the name of Sailani Darbar.

A petition was also filed in the High Court regarding the illegal occupation. While hearing the petition, the court had given the Durg Collector 120 days to take a decision. After this, the Corporation Commissioner had pasted a notice 3 days ago and asked to vacate the occupation. On Monday, bulldozer action was taken on it and the illegal shrine was demolished.

While the bulldozer operation was going on, a large crowd of people had gathered. The crowd was protesting against the bulldozer operation. However, the crowd could not do anything in front of the police forces present on the spot.
