Three people were killed and at least 14 workers were trapped when a building under construction collapsed in Bengaluru on Tuesday. The incident took place during heavy rains in Hennur area of ​​the city.

According to the meteorological department’s forecast, heavy rain is still likely to occur in many places in Karnataka today, especially in the inland and coastal areas of southern Karnataka. Apart from this, heavy rainfall is also likely to occur in the neighboring states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
The Bangalore Municipal Corporation (BBMP) also activated emergency services as local people demanded an immediate solution to the existing problem. Officials also assured that necessary measures will be taken in the affected places to avoid similar situations in the future.
