A building collapsed in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Many people are feared to be trapped in this incident. A truck parked near the building also got hit in the accident. The incident took place in Transport Nagar of Sarojini Nagar police station area.

Lucknow DM Suryapal Gangwar said that earlier 28 people were safely evacuated from the debris. Now 2 more people have been rescued in the rescue operation. The death toll in the accident has risen to 6. Rescue operation is underway. The left side of the Harmilap Tower collapsed after heavy rains in Transport Nagar. Currently, the rescue operation is being carried out by the NDRF and state police team, who are using gas cutters to enter the collapsed part.

6 people died due to building collapse

Let us tell you that 6 people have died due to the building collapse in Lucknow, out of which 3 have been identified and 3 people are unidentified, who could not be identified. Meanwhile, Lucknow ADG said, the entire building is being searched. Coordination of all departments has been established. Efforts are being made to save as many people as possible. The reason for the building collapse will be known only after the rescue operation. All technical equipment has been installed for the search.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh posted on the social media platform ‘X’ and wrote- ‘The news of the accident caused by the collapse of a building in Lucknow is extremely painful. I have spoken to the District Magistrate of Lucknow over the phone and got information about the situation at the spot. The local administration is carrying out relief and rescue operations on the spot and is engaged in helping the victims in every possible way.

2 people died

According to Lok Bandhu Hospital, so far 20 patients have been brought in injured condition, out of which the condition of 3 people is critical. Whereas, 2 people have been brought in dead condition.

CM gave these instructions on Lucknow accident

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the accident in Lucknow. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, NDRF and SDRF teams have left for the spot. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and expedite the relief work and provide proper treatment to the injured. Along with this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Commissioner Roshan Jacob told Aaj Tak, 28 people have been rescued and 4 people have died in the Lucknow building collapse.
