In addition, the company also launched 7 new services that will benefit the company’s millions of users. The government telecom company has installed 41,000 new 4G mobile towers across the country to provide users with better network connectivity. The company aims to install 100,000 4G mobile towers by June next year.
Installation of 41,000 4G mobile towers completed
BSNL shared this information through its official X account. The company said in its social media post that another milestone has been achieved. 41,000 4G sites have been opened. The company is rapidly working to improve 4G coverage across India so that users can get better connectivity at a lower cost. What’s special about BSNL’s 4G mobile towers is that all the equipment and fixtures installed in them are manufactured using indigenous technology and only in India.
Target to install 100,000 towers
Recently, Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that BSNL’s 4G/5G services will be launched in June next year. To this end, the company is installing 100,000 Indian-made mobile towers. In this year’s budget, the government allocated over Rs 80,000 to revive BSNL and MTNL. The funds will be used for infrastructure development by government telecommunications companies.
Double happiness on Diwali
Lakhs of users have switched to BSNL since mobile plans of private telcos Airtel, Jio and Vi (Vodafone-Idea) became expensive in July. The company added more than 5.5 million new users in July and August. At the same time, private sector users have declined. Recently, BSNL has given users a double blessing by saying that it will not make recharge packages expensive in the near future. The company’s main focus will be network expansion and adding more users.
