Pakistani intruders shot at international border: A Pakistani infiltrator was shot dead by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at the India-Pakistan international border in Punjab. A Border Security Force (BSF) spokesperson gave information about the incident on Tuesday.

BSF officials said that an infiltrator entering India was spotted at the international border in Ratankhurd village area in Amritsar district around 9:15 pm on Monday. After that, the soldiers challenged him but the intruder did not stop moving towards the fence and kept making aggressive gestures.

A BSF spokesperson said that soldiers on duty opened fire on the advancing intruder and killed him on the spot. According to the BSF, Pakistani currency worth Rs 270 and half-torn Rs 10 notes were also recovered from him.

His body was later handed over to the local Galinda police station, security forces said. The BSF guards the 553-km-long international border with Pakistan in Punjab province.
