Jammu, September 22: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday said it foiled an infiltration operation in Jammu’s RS Pura area and seized a large number of arms and ammunition.
“During the night of September 21-22, 2024, suspicious movements were noticed by vigilant BSF troops. An intruder was observed approaching the BSF fence in the border area of RS Pura and the infiltration attempt was foiled by the vigilant troops.” PRO BSF Jammu said.
He said a thorough search had been carried out in the morning. “During the search operations, a large quantity of weapons and ammunition were recovered,” PRO BSF said.
According to him, the recovered items include 2 pistols, 4 magazines, 20 rounds (9 mm) of ammunition, an AK 47 rifle, two magazines of 17 rounds.
