In the country’s capital Delhi, two people killed a woman on suspicion of a love affair. Officials said that in a suspected case of honor killing, two people killed their 35-year-old sister. They suspected that the sister was having a love affair with a young man.
According to the news agency, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) M Harsh Vardhan said that the police examined the footage of CCTV cameras to trace and arrest Abdullah and Areeb in the murder case. He said that there were no signs of sexual assault in this case.
Police said the accused suspected that she was having an affair after the divorce. Officer Vardhan said, ‘He was suspicious of the woman’s activities and felt humiliated because of it. After this, he planned to kill his sister.’
Police said that according to initial investigation, she was strangulated to death. The DCP said, the exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem. Officer Vardhan said that the police received information about the murder at around 4.30 am on Thursday. Her body was recovered from the woman’s house in Hauz Qazi area of central Delhi.
