A 22-year-old girl preparing for competitive exams in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, committed suicide by jumping from the coaching centre building near Airplane Crossing after a quarrel with her boyfriend. The deceased’s father has alleged that a man named Saurabh Singh, along with three others, molested her in the coaching centre and forced her to jump from the building. The police have arrested the accused Saurabh Singh.
The deceased girl has been identified as Deepali Tripathi, who was preparing for competitive exams while living in Allahpur area. Police said that the deceased’s father Bhupendra Nath Tripathi said that on Tuesday Deepali had gone to University Road to buy a book. There she was attacked by Saurabh Singh, who snatched her mobile phone and threw her on the ground. After that all of them together beat Deepali. He said that the entire incident was captured in CCTV recording.

However, the theory of love triangle is also coming to the fore in this case. Additional Police Commissioner of Colonelganj Rajiv Kumar Yadav claimed that Saurabh and Deepali were in a love affair and just before the incident, there was a dispute between the two over her allegedly dating another man.
ADCP said, someone had told Saurabh that the victim was his girlfriend. To confirm this, Saurabh met Deepali at Airplane Square on Tuesday morning and there was an argument between the two regarding this. After this, she jumped from the third floor of the coaching building. She was taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead. He said that the police has taken the damaged mobile in its possession and arrested Saurabh Singh.
