The uproar continues in Bengal over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical Hospital. BJP has called for a 12-hour Bengal bandh today in protest against the police’s use of force on the students’ Nabanna Abhiyan protest against the Mamata Banerjee government. During this, a local BJP leader was attacked.
A video of this attack is going viral on social media, in which an unidentified person can be seen firing at the car of local BJP leader Priyanshu Pandey.
The attacker fired six rounds at Pandey’s car. In this firing, the glass of the car broke and the bullet hit the driver. Priyangu also got injured in this attack. A total of two people were injured in this attack, who were taken to the hospital for treatment.
After this attack, BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari said that TMC goons fired on the vehicle of the BJP leader. The driver of the vehicle has been shot. In this way, Mamata Banerjee and TMC are trying to remove BJP from the streets. The bandh has been successful and people have welcomed it wholeheartedly. The toxic cocktail of police and TMC will not be able to scare BJP now.
BJP Bengal leader Arjun Singh, while describing the entire incident, said that Priyanshu Pandey is a leader of our party. He was coming by car. As soon as the car arrived, a bomb was thrown. When the car did not stop, shots were fired. The driver was shot on the forehead. He fell down after being shot. Several rounds of bullets were fired. This happened in the presence of the ACP. This happened as part of a well-planned strategy.
