Police are probing the horoscope of Kanpur-based fitness trainer Vimal Soni after he was arrested and accused of murdering a businessman’s wife. Investigations revealed that the fitness trainer had a large following on social media and that his friend list included more women than men. However, he closed all social media accounts 4 months ago.
It is worth noting that at the same time, the businessman’s wife Ekta Gupta suddenly disappeared. Four months later, his body was found buried in a pit next to DM’s bungalow. According to police, Vimal murdered Ekta and buried her body in a pit. Vimal Soni has been arrested in connection with the murder. Meanwhile, Ekta’s body has been cremated after post-mortem.
Fitness instructor also worked as a waiter
It was revealed that the murderer, Vimal Soni, worked as a waiter in a hotel before becoming a gym instructor. That’s why when he fled to Punjab after Ekta’s murder, he worked as a waiter for a few days to hide his identity. However, he was eventually caught by the police.

During police interrogation, Vimal Soni said that he had won titles such as “Mr. Kanpur” and “Mr. UP” as bodybuilding champions. He also participated in the Mr. India competition, though he finished fifth. Later he started working as a fitness trainer in Kanpur. He taught physical education classes to high officials, businessmen and their wives. During this time, the relationship between Ekta Gupta and Vimal Soni reportedly grew closer.
How was Ekta murdered?
According to police, Vimal murdered Ekta Gupta on June 24. He committed the incident in his car parked in a Green Park car park. In fact, there was a heated argument between the two from the beginning. Vimal then gave medicine to Ekta. Finally he was strangled to death with a rope. After the murder, the body was dug in a hole next to DM’s bungalow and buried. Vimal claimed that Ekta would not allow him to get married. She was debating marriage. Because of this, he had to make way.
