Bodies of Indians killed in Nepal bus accident reached Maharashtra, 27 people died

After 27 Indian citizens were killed in a bus accident in Nepal, an Indian Air Force plane has returned to India with 25 bodies. An Air Force military transport plane on Saturday brought the bodies of 25 Indian pilgrims from Bharatpur in Nepal to Jalgaon in Maharashtra.

Indian pilgrims were killed in a tragic bus accident on Friday in Nepal’s Tanahun district, about 115 km from Kathmandu. Twenty-seven Indians were killed in the accident and the bodies of two of the deceased have been brought to Maharajganj in Uttar Pradesh, officials said.

According to the news agency, the IAF said in a post, ‘Acting promptly on the appeal for urgent humanitarian assistance, the Air Force had dispatched a C-130J aircraft to airlift the bodies of 25 Indian nationals who lost their lives in a road accident in Nepal.

The statement further said, ‘The bodies were taken from Bharatpur (Nepal) to Jalgaon (Maharashtra). The Air Force expresses its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wishes speedy recovery to the injured.’

Let us tell you that all the Indian pilgrims who died in the accident were in Nepal on a 10-day tour. 16 other people were also injured in this road accident. According to local officials, the bus in which the pilgrims were traveling went out of control from a highway and fell into the Marsyangdi river in Abu Khaireni of Tanahun district, in which 27 Indian citizens died.
