Jammu, September 23: Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary and J&K in-charge Tarun Chugh on Monday said his party will create five new constituencies in J&K, taking the total number of constituencies to 25, if voted to power.

As of now, there are 20 districts in J&K and 10 each in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the five new districts will further streamline administrative work in J&K.
The five new districts to be created in J&K are part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide administrative reforms, the senior BJP leader added.
“The five new districts will further bring administrative reforms to J&K and people will be able to enjoy government services without any inconvenience. The establishment of five new districts in J&K will simplify government functions and enable people in all corners of J&K, especially in the mountainous areas, to enjoy government services without any inconvenience. This will also pave the way for the development of Johnson & Johnson.
