Devendra Fadnavis made a strong return to Maharashtra and was sworn in for the third time at a grand ceremony at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai on Thursday evening Chief Minister. Devendra Fadnavis’ swearing-in ceremony was attended by thousands of supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led grand alliance, besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several federal ministers and state chief ministers . The ceremony took place in Freedom Square on November 23, approximately two weeks after the results of the parliamentary elections were announced. No other ministers were sworn in at this time. A BJP leader said the expansion of the Council of Ministers will be completed before the winter session of the state assembly in Nagpur next week.

Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Devendra Fadnavis (54) from Nagpur South West Assembly constituency. The Governor also administered the oath of office to Eknath Shinde (60) and Ajit Pawar (65).
Ajit Pawar becomes deputy chief minister for sixth time
Devendra Fadnavis serves as chief minister for the third time and Ajit Pawar serves as deputy chief minister for the sixth time. Fadnavis was the deputy chief minister in the previous government. CM Fadnavis said that our government will work with transparency for the welfare of the people. “We do not want to get involved in the politics of revenge,” Fadnavis said while referring to the minority opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) members in Parliament.
