Ramveer Singh, BJP candidate from Kundarki seat
As the Uttar Pradesh by-election date approaches, the race is getting interesting. The BJP is weaving a political conspiracy to win the Muslim-dominated Kundalki assembly seat in Moradabad district like Rampur. Thakur Ramveer Singh, who is contesting the elections from Kundarki on the ticket of the Bharatiya Janata Party, is wearing fully Muslim attire. Namazi campaigned in a ‘Bhaijaan’ look, with a cap on her head and a sheet draped over her shoulders. In the Muslim belt, the BJP went beyond campaigning and asked Muslims to take an oath to vote for the BJP, making them swear by Allah.
Ziaur Rahman Burke, who was the SP MLA from Kundarki constituency, will become the MP from Sambhal constituency in 2024. So not only the PPP and the Socialist Party, but also the PPP is going all out in the by-elections. The SP has fielded former MP Haji Rizwan, while the BJP has fielded Thakur Ramveer Singh as its candidate. A total of 12 candidates are trying their luck in the Kundarki seat, all of them except Thakur Ramveer Singh are Muslims. From the BSP to the ASP and AIMIM, all are offering tickets only to Muslims, while the BJP is also paying special attention to winning Muslim votes. Meanwhile, SP is working hard to save it.
BJP plans to contest Kundalki seat
Thakur Ramveer Singh has tried his luck twice to win the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket from Kundarki seat but is yet to win. As per UP CM Yogi’s wishes, he has once again emerged as the candidate while BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary has been appointed as the election in-charge of Kundarki. Ramvir, who is contesting for the third time as a BJP candidate, is focusing on the Muslim vote. Ramveer’s campaign is being directed by BJP minority front state president Kunwar Basit Ali as the seat has about 64 per cent Muslim voters. This is why the BJP won the Kundalki seat only once three decades ago and never again since.
‘Lotus’ will bloom in Kundalki like Rampur
Since it is a Muslim-dominated seat, winning Kundalki will be like chewing iron for the BJP. The situation is similar for the BJP in Rampur, where 55% of voters are Muslims. The BJP fielded Akash Saxena in the Rampur by-election and he managed to win a large number of Muslim votes. In the same manner, the BJP also weaved a victory curtain in the Kundalki seat with its candidate Ramveer Singh donning Muslim colours. While Muslims in the area wore hats and demanded votes, the then Minority Front state president Kunwar Basit Ali told the Muslims of Kundalki to take an oath to Allah.
Basit Ali, who is responsible for collecting Muslim votes in Kundalki, is taking oath to Muslims to make the BJP candidate win. At a project in Mooda Pandey village in Kundarki district, Basit Ali was campaigning and raising the slogan “No distance, no gap, Thakur Ramveer is our brother”. Meanwhile, Basit Chaudhry told Muslims not to be deceived by the Samajwadi Party and swear by Allah and promise to vote for the BJP candidates. In this way, Basit Ali made Muslims swear to Allah to vote for the BJP leader. Voters from the Muslim community raised their hands and took oath that they would vote for the BJP candidate Ramveer Singh in the by-elections.
‘Ramveer Singh is a Muslim sympathizer’
BJP Minority Front Chairman Kunwar Basit Ali has been holding meetings in Muslim areas since Saturday to support the BJP candidate. At every meeting, he made Muslims swear to God to vote for BJP candidate Ramveer. Speaking to TV-9 Digital, Basit Ali said, We are here to contest the elections but our Muslim community is being accused of being anti-BJP. In this case, the Muslim community openly took oath and talked about voting for the BJP.
Basit said Ramveer Singh was a Muslim sympathizer and hence the Muslim community not only promised to vote for him but also donated money to him to contest the elections. During a program on Sunday, the Muslim community raised a donation of Rs 20 lakh from him. Meanwhile, Ramveer Singh campaigned in Muslim areas wearing a namaj cap on his head and a bedsheet draped over his shoulders in a bid to win Muslim votes. Not only that, he also recited verses from the Quran among Muslims, and his speech style was very Muslim-like.
Ramveer Singh declared winner
Ramveer Singh said, My brother, this is just a trailer, the full picture is yet to come. The picture will be very long. He said it would make no difference to me if opposition leaders targeted my appearance. A person’s conscience should be good. No need to pay attention to the filling. A good man should be hidden in his heart. There should be humanity, not demons. Not only this, Ramvir recited a verse from the Quran at the beginning of his speech and said that now the Samajwadi Party candidates will tell you that if you vote for the BJP, you will become an infidel, while when he My appeal is to not be misled by them when voting for the BJP in the 2022 elections. In this case.
In Kundalki, BJP candidate Ramveer Singh is seeking votes in Muslim areas in a completely Islamic manner. During the campaign, as soon as Azan’s voice rang out, Ramveer Singh stopped speaking and stood silently. After Azan finished, he started speaking again. The National Minority Front’s Kunwar Basit Ali campaigned alongside him, with a special focus on Muslim areas. Basit Ali said the BJP will win the Kundalki seat with more votes than the Rampur seat as the Muslim community has made up its mind to vote for the BJP candidate.
BJP eyeing Muslim votes
The BJP knows that the Kundalki seat cannot be won with Hindu votes. That’s why she focuses on the Muslim vote, she even takes an oath to them. Apart from this, the SP has also become wary of the way in which the BJP candidates are seeking votes in an Islamic style. In this situation, the SP has deployed its entire army of Muslim leaders in the Kundarki seat, starting from MP Javed Ali Khan to Javed Abdi. In this case, it remains to be seen how much Muslim voters like the style of BJP candidate Ramveer Singh, which will be known on November 13, but the Muslim style of the BJP is well liked.
