Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anil Vij has announced his candidacy for the post of Chief Minister ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections on Sunday. Expressing his credentials, Anil Vij demanded the party for the Chief Ministerial post. Anil Vij said, “I am the senior-most MP of the BJP in Haryana. I have contested six elections. Anil Bij said, wherever I go, everyone tells me you are the most senior, then why don’t you become CM? In this situation, on the demand of the people, I will become the chief minister this time by claiming seniority. If the government is formed and the party makes me the chief minister, then I will change the destiny and face of Haryana.

However, Vij said that the decision lies with the “high command”. He said it is up to the high command to make me the CM or not. Let us tell you that Anil Vij is the BJP candidate from the Ambala Cantt parliamentary constituency. He was the Home Minister of Haryana during the Manohar Lal Khattar government and was removed from the post in the recent cabinet reshuffle and Nab Singh Saini was sworn in as the Chief Minister.
