A total of 21 leaders’ names have been included in the State Election Commission list for the upcoming 2025 Delhi Assembly elections released by the BJP. The names of many important leaders have been included in the list, including Virendra Sachdeva, Dushyant Kumar Gautam, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Manoj Tiwari, Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, Arvinder Singh Lovely, Manjinder Singh Sirsa. When will the election be held?
The assembly elections are expected to be held in Delhi in early 2025 or February next year. The term of the Delhi Assembly will end on February 23 next year. Parliamentary elections will be held before then. Let us tell you that in the parliamentary elections held in 2020, the Aam Aadmi Party won 62 out of 70 seats in the federal territories. While the BJP won 8 seats. Congress hasn’t even opened an account in the state. Meanwhile, in the recently held 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won all seven Lok Sabha seats in the state.
Election committee holds meeting
In view of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections 2024, the Election Commission held a meeting with representatives of various political parties in central Delhi on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by MP Bansuri Swaraj, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha and party leader Jasmine Shah. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar also reviewed electoral preparations for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
