The BJP has announced candidates for by-elections to seven of the nine assembly seats in UP. The BJP has fielded its brother-in-law Anujesh Yadav to Kajal constituency in Mainpuri, from which Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has resigned. By fielding Anujesh, the BJP has triggered an inter-Mulayam race in this seat as Akhilesh Yadav has ticketed this seat to him nephew and former Maipuri MP Tej Pratap Yadav.
Anujesh Yadav is the son-in-law of the Mulayam family. He is the husband of Sandhya Yadav, brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav Abdullam ·Daughter of Abhayram Yadav. Sandhya Yadav is the biological sister of Azamgarh MP Dharmendra Yadav. Sandhya Yadav was the eldest daughter of the Mulayam family and later entered politics. Not only that, she also served as the Chairman of Maipuri District Panchayat. Sandhya and Anujesh were expelled from the Samajwadi Party, after which both joined the BJP.
Anujesh’s mother Urmila is the MLA from Giroir.
Anujesh Yadav’s family has been involved in politics from the beginning and has been associated with the Samajwadi Party. His mother Urmila Yadav is a Samajwadi Party MP from Ghiror assembly seat in Mainpuri.
UP by-election: The BJP has announced 7 candidates namely Sanjeev Sharma from Ghaziabad and Anujesh Yadav from Kharj.
During the Lok Sabha elections, there were discussions that the BJP could field a member of the Mulayam family before Dimple Yadav. Among them, two names came first. The first name is Aparna Yadav, she is the daughter-in-law of Mulayam family. She is the wife of Prateek Yadav, the younger son of Mulayam Singh Yadav. The second name is Anujesh Yadav. Anujesh is also opposing the Samajwadi Party in the by-elections held in Mainpuri. Although cabinet minister Jaiveer Singh was later sent to Dimple to face the UP government, the BJP failed to win the seat.
In which seats has the BJP fielded candidates?
Along with Anujesh Yadav in Karhal, the BJP also proposed party president Sanjeev Sharma in Ghaziabad Sadar Sharma and Ramveer Singh Thakur of Kundarki provided tickets. Apart from this, tickets were also given to Surendra Diler from Khair (SC) seat, Deepak Patel from Phulpur, Dharamraj Nishad from Katehri and Mrs. Suchismita Maurya from Majhwan. However, the BJP is yet to field candidates from Mirapur and West Samau seats.
