Bijnor: Talib had gone to Saudi Arabia for livelihood, now dead body returned, allegation of death due to beating by Sheikh

A young man from Bijnor, UP had gone to Saudi Arabia in search of livelihood. But now after four months his body has returned. After the death of the young man, his body could be returned to his country after about a month. As soon as the dead body reached home, there was chaos among the family members. The deceased was laid to rest in a sad atmosphere. The family members allege that their son was brutally beaten in Saudi, due to which he lost his life. He has accused a Sheikh who gave him the job.

In fact, yesterday, after about a month from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the body of Mohammad Talib (19) reached his Shakarpuri village in Bijnor. The family members were shocked to see Talib’s dead body. He bid him last farewell with tearful eyes. During this time, hundreds of people from nearby areas including the local MLA’s brother, Naib Tehsildar, farmer leaders were present.

According to the information, Mohammad Talib, 19 year old son of Mohammad Sagir, resident of village Shakarpuri of the police station area, had gone to Saudi Arabia for work four months ago. Meanwhile, a month ago the family received information from Riyadh city of Saudi Arabia that Talib had died. When the family members talked to their relatives and acquaintances living in Riyadh city to confirm this, the news was found to be true.

The news of Talib’s death created an uproar among the family members. The struggle began to return the dead body to the country. Sagir Ahmed, father of the deceased, alleged that the Sheikh (owner) had a hand in Talib’s death. He beat him and murdered him brutally. Sagir had demanded the Indian government to send Talib’s body to India.

When Talib’s body reached Shankarpuri village of Bijnor at around 3:30 pm on Monday (6 August), a crowd of hundreds gathered there. Hearing the cry of the family members, the hearts of the people present there were hurting. Talib was laid to rest in a sombre atmosphere late yesterday evening.

In this matter, village head Taufiq said that Talib’s post-mortem report has been declared normal, while his father says that his son was brutally killed by the Sheikh. During this time, many people including MLA Manoj Paras’ brother Dharmendra Paras, Naib Tehsildar, farmer leader Adil Zaidi were present.
