In Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, a girl accused a young man of molesting her and harassing her by sending objectionable messages. According to the girl, when she protested against this, the young man came to the locality with hundreds of his friends and started threatening her. This incident spread panic in the entire locality along with the family. Currently, the police have registered an FIR against the accused on the complaint of the victim’s family. The matter is being investigated. Both the parties belong to different communities. Therefore, as a precaution, heavy force has been deployed in the area.
The whole matter is of Sarai Rafi Mohalla of Thana Chandpur in Bijnor. It is alleged that a youth named Mohammad Mujammil living here used to harass a girl from another community by sending objectionable messages on Instagram. He also used to molest the girl whenever she used to go out of the house. Fed up, the girl informed her family members about the entire incident, after which there was an uproar. The brother of the victim girl sent the controversial audio on the mobile of the accused youth, which went viral. This brought both the parties face to face.
It is being told that on August 19, after a dispute, Mujammil came to the girl’s locality with about 300-400 people and created a ruckus. He threatened to beat up the family members. Not only this, he also threatened the people living in the nearby houses. While leaving, he shouted communal slogans, which further heated up the atmosphere.
After this entire incident, the family of the victim wrote “This house is for sale” on their house with paint. When the matter reached the police, there was an uproar. The police registered an FIR and deployed force in the area. Every activity is being monitored. At present, peace and order is maintained. Both the parties have been talked to.
Police told the whole story
In this entire case, Bijnor police has issued a byte, in which SP Rural said that this incident is from Sarai Rafi Mohalla of Thana Chandpur. On 19/08/24, a boy from one community had obscene, objectionable chat on mobile with a girl from another community, due to which the girl’s brother, hurt by this, sent an objectionable audio on the accused boy’s mobile. On which a case was registered and action was taken.
At the same time, a case has been registered on the complaint of the girl’s side and legal action is underway. After talking to the family members, the words ‘Bikaau’ written on the wall of the house have been erased. Heavy police force has been deployed in the area so that peace is maintained.
