Bijnor: 25 kg beef recovered from hotel, two accused arrested

In Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, the owner of a hotel who cooked and sold cow meat under the guise of buffalo meat has been arrested. On the basis of secret information, the police raided the hotel and recovered 25 kg of cow meat. The police called a veterinary doctor on the spot and got it examined. Then it was found that the cooked meat was also of cow.

On this matter, SP Rural Ram Arj said that Chandpur police had received a confidential information that cow meat was being cooked and sold instead of buffalo meat at Salar Hotel near Karal Gate inside the town. On receiving the information, the police raided the hotel and found cooked cow meat at one place and raw cow meat in sacks at another place.

Two arrested for selling beef

The police registered a case under the Cow Protection Act and arrested two accused. Both the arrested accused have also confessed their crime. During interrogation, the accused told the police that to earn more profit, they were cooking and selling cow meat instead of buffalo meat.

On this matter, SP Rural Ram Arj said that the accused who were caught had bought the meat of two cows from the shop of Anish, a resident of Pattipada, Chandpur. Now the police is also looking for Anish, a police team has been formed to arrest him.
