On Sunday, Bihar Industries and Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra inaugurated the Bihar pavilion and cultural projects. This project is the center of attraction. Bihar is this year’s partner state. Therefore, the Bihar pavilion has been prepared in line with the theme of the exhibition “Developed India 2047”. The industry department of the state government, under the guidance of Industry Secretary Vandana Preyasi and Director Industries Alok Ranjan Ghosh, developed this program and exhibition with the help of the Udyog Mitra team.
Tin-based craft display in the museum
There are a total of 75 stalls in the Bihar pavilion. It showcases handloom, homespun and handloom products of the state. Babban booti in Nalanda, silks in Bhagalpuri, Madhubani paintings in Mithila, Tikuli in Patna Art and other artifacts are sold and displayed. The pavilion is designed around the theme of Bihar’s special cultural and historical heritage. The entrance is designed as the “Gateway to Civilization” and is decorated with the logo of “Vikas Bihar-2047”.
The Bihar Museum is located in the center of the exhibition hall. The walls also display 3D paintings of the modern Nalanda University and the iconic Buddha Bridge. Other walls are decorated with Madhubani, Manjusha and Tikuli artworks created by famous Padma Shri artists of Bihar. The pavilion showcases traditional art forms – Madhubani paintings, terracotta art and tin-based crafts. Through this interactive display, visitors see and experience the rich art of Bihar.
Additionally, the Bihar pavilion’s exhibits include highlights of the state’s key initiatives such as Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana and Startup Bihar showcasing entrepreneurship and innovation. Furthermore, the focus on women’s empowerment through initiatives like the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami Yojana demonstrates Bihar’s commitment to inclusive growth. The pavilion has an environmentally friendly design and follows ITPO’s plastic-free guidelines. The decoration was made from local materials, reflecting the country’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
