Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday inaugurated the Asian Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy at the National Sports Institute and Bihar Sports University-cum-National Sports Center in Rajgir. On this occasion, the national anthems of all participating countries were played in the hockey stadium. Women’s hockey team players from six countries including India, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, China and Thailand participated. All players and spectators were very excited when the championship trophy was unveiled. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar accepted greetings from all the players and spectators. Women’s hockey captains from various countries posed for photos with the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also visited the gallery on the occasion. The mythical city of Rajgir and the developed state of Bihar are mentioned in the gallery in languages ​​of all countries. Information about many other important schemes are also mentioned in the gallery including National Sports Institute, Ganga Water Supply Scheme, Rajgir Zoo Safari, Nature Safari, Convention Centre, Malmas Expo, Rajgir Complex.
Track and field and football fields completed
The Chief Minister inaugurated the track and field and football fields constructed on the campus of Rajgir Sports College and Sports University. The ground was also inspected thereafter. The basketball court at the Rajgir Sports Center was also inspected and information about the facility was obtained from officials. The Prime Minister also inspected the offices of Bihar Sports University and the administrative building of the National Sports Institute. During this time, the rooms of the Registrar, Director of Examinations and the Vice-Chancellor were also seen.
The Championship Trophy will be held from November 11 to November 20
The international level “Bihar Women’s Asian Champions Trophy” is being held in Bihar for the first time. This grand event will be held from November 11 to 20 at the Hockey Stadium, Rajgir Sports Centre. The tournament is jointly organized by the Sports Ministry, Bihar Sports Authority, Hockey India and Asian Hockey Federation. We have made special arrangements for security, accommodation, welcome and facilities for all teams and players participating in this tournament. In order to let the contestants come to understand the glorious and rich history, spirit and cultural heritage of Bihar, appropriate arrangements were made to visit famous tourist attractions around Gaya and Rajgir.
