Munavvar was staying at Hotel Surya in Delhi along with YouTuber Elvish Yadav. According to sources, the gunmen also conducted reconnaissance at Hotel Surya. On Saturday, Munavvar Farooqui and Elvish Yadav went to Delhi’s IGI Stadium for a friendly match. After receiving information about the threat from Munavvar Farooqui, the Delhi Police reached the IGI Stadium and the match was suspended for some time.
Delhi Police saw full security arrangements and the match began afterwards. After the match, Farooqui was sent back to Mumbai. Sources said that in view of the threat, Munawar Farooqui has been cleared for security. If Farooqui stays in Delhi, he will also be provided with security.
