BCCI awaits results
According to a report in The Indian Express, the BCCI is waiting for the NOD from the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Mohammed Shami after getting approval from NCA. Thereafter, Mohammad Shami can travel to Australia for the remaining three matches of the Test series against Australia. The BCCI senior selection committee is awaiting the results of the new fitness test from the NCA to include him in the Test squad. I believe BCCI has made all preparations. Mohammad Shami’s visa is also ready. He will travel to Australia as soon as possible once he is declared recovered.
India won the first match of the series by 295 runs but were missing an experienced bowler like Shami for the second match in Adelaide. A BCCI official said the selection committee is waiting for the NCA’s health clearance report. Shami recently traveled to Bengaluru to prove his fitness. He also participated in Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. His performance there was astonishing. He also said that Shami’s equipment is also ready. He is awaiting approval from the NCA.
Shami has been out of the Indian team for a long time
India’s star fast bowler Mohammad Shami has been absent from the Indian squad for a long time. He last played for India in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. He has since completed surgery. After that he began to rest. He recently made a comeback in domestic cricket. Shami played his last Test match for Team India in June 2023 against Australia.
