According to a PTI report, sources said that unless the PCB decides to withdraw from hosting the Champions Trophy, the current plan is to hold the Indian team’s matches in the UAE and the final in Dubai. In fact, the BCCI told the ICC that they would accept the hybrid format only if the final was held in Dubai instead of Pakistan. The International Criminal Court has informed Pakistan of the incident, but Pakistan has yet to respond. However, the ICC has assured the PCB that they will get full hosting fees and most of the matches under the hybrid format.
If Pakistan refuses then the match will be held in this country
If Pakistan does not accept the ICC’s offer for the Champions Trophy and Pakistan decides to withdraw from the tournament, the ICC may consider shifting the entire tournament to South Africa. Earlier, PCB sources said that there are no discussions about hybrid models and they will seek more clarification from the ICC. South Africa has organized many major events. The 2027 ODI World Cup will also be held in South Africa. In addition to this, it would also be a good thing for Asian fans if the game is held in South Africa. In fact, South Africa’s timing is pretty good compared to Asia.
